I would just have appreciated my meal being prepared as promised. They do have an extensive beer list, wine list and a full bar. Almost all of the food came out at once and it felt like their only goal was to get us to complete our meal and get out. The Sweet Potato Egg Rolls say they have a sweet ginger glaze. The chicken wings could have stayed in the fryer a little longer as the skin was still rubbery. We opted for the Sweet Potato Egg Rolls, a Chorizo Pizza and the Fresh Chicken Wings. The food is great to share and comes out as prepared. The waitress, who was happy, polite and communicated well, informed us that this was family style dining. We opted for a high top in the bar area which was find. Upon arrival we were asked if we had a reservation. Being on vacation we did not have a solid agenda and decided to visit this location on a Saturday evening. We visited this establishment based upon the TA reviews. sorry because the place is nice but not well managed More result: the kidwas hangry and criedand wedidn't enjoy the dinner so we went through the food in a hurry, and home to make some food for him. i mean, if for any reason the chef says he cannot do it because he is too busy you just enter the kitchen and you do by is 2 minutes job. then coming back agan saying that they couldn't help us. what's hard to do in such a request? we asked to the waitress, then the manager came asking what we wanted. that is what everybody in the world knows how to cook. i'm not asking for wellinton filet but two scrumbled eggs. we weretold that since on the menu there is no scrumbled eggs we couldn't choose them. so we just made it simple and asked for two scrumbled eggs. wrong: anywhere there was something not good for kids. no problem, you could say, there is an entire menu to choose from. so my son asked for a margherita pizza ON THE KID'S MENU and hecouldn't eat it because it was full of garlic. the problem is that they put garlic on pizzas (which is like using cream in carbonara: just a crime) and it is not mentioned on the ingredients list. this place was sopposed be a good choice because they also offer pizzas in the menu. this is the fact: we are a party of 5 adults and a 5yo kid. The place is nice, the food is pretty good but they deserve only one star because their behavior let me really disapponted. Hotels near (ROC) Greater Rochester International Airport.If you didn't know better, you might think you just walked into a fabulous restaurant in Chicago or NYC, but it's Livonia, NY in western, upstate NY. It's a lively atmosphere and probably requires reservations on most nights. This is the beauty of a tapas restaurant: to sample many small plates of food without filling up on one thing. The mac & cheese was great, the sliders were awesome, the hummus bruschetta was addicting, the steak salad was wonderful, and on and on. We ordered an eclectic selection of tapas to satisfy everyone in our party and no one was disappointed. Our waiter was knowledgable and friendly & happily explained the tapas concept to those in our party who had not experienced it before. Despite not having reservations, they accommodated our party & seated us fairly quickly. Based on a recommendation from the owner of the B&B where we stayed in Canandaigua, we visited Ember on a very crowded Monday night. Having traveled to many fabulous food destinations, I was completely blown away that this little gem is tucked away in the little town of Livonia, NY. S.O.S.: Shorts or Suit, come down and enjoy!!! Our well trained staff will make your selection approachable and fun. Our menus will changes with the seasons, our wood fire selections are cooked with real wood, our wine and micro brew selections are large and extensive. Our hope is that you, our customer, will enjoy the combination of stunning modern architecture and old charm: simple, good food "meant to share" from farm to plate. Our food is high quality and labor intensive, the same as some of the top restaurants, in the country, without the big city over head, so we can keep our prices reasonable.
